Veronica N. Dunlap, Esq., M.B.A.
Veronica N. Dunlap is a New York City based legal consultant and business strategist and most recently served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the National Network for Safe Communities at John Jay College where she designed and executed criminal justice reform strategies that work toward reducing bias in policing and producing better public safety outcomes for marginalized communities. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Ms. Dunlap performed on stages around the world as a classically trained dancer.
She is a proud graduate of both George Washington University ‘10, where she received a B.A. in International Affairs, cum laude, and Fordham University School of Law ‘14 where she received her Juris Doctor & M.B.A. in Finance.
In support of widening the diversity pipeline in the legal field, Ms. Dunlap serves as a mentor to pre-law students and has mentored high school students in the National Black MBA Association’s college prep program. She is the recipient of the 2016 Heroine of Excellence Award for her work in social justice advocacy, and a 2017 alumna of the Council of Urban Professionals. Moreover, Ms. Dunlap served as a Chief of Staff for the Metropolitan Black Bar Association from 2018-2020 and in 2019, she received the New York County Lawyer’s Association Pro Bono Honors Award for her outstanding work and dedication to public service.
